I am delighted to be on the board of directors for the Santa Fe Montessori School. I am not new to understanding the value of a Montessori education, both of my daughters’ experienced Montessori educations and my granddaughter is now in her second year at Santa Fe Montessori.

I myself have been involved in education much of my life. I have taught foreign languages, both Latin and Greek, as well as history - with a focus on Europe - and I have published several books on a variety of historical topics.

I understand and appreciate what a Montessori education can mean to a young woman or man. Both of my daughters talk of their sense of independence and strength that they received as a result of their Montessori experience and both have achieved a high level of accomplishment, one as a classical violinist and the other as an animal rights activist.
