"Playground Dreams"
The 2009 Gala Fund-An-Item Auction, which brought $14,000 in parent gifts for playground upgrades, provided the money to make all the dramatic playground changes you see above.  These changes required the use of half the playground fund.  The other half, approximately $7,000, is now in reserve for future playground upgrades.  Our plan is to expand our fund through our 2009-2010 fund-raising efforts.  We have great upgrades in mind for the Elementary Playground.  We are looking into two fantastic new features.  They will make our SFMS playground a very special area for our children's physical development.  Combined, we need approximately $45,000 in additional funds to complete this project.  The two new upgrades will engage SFMS students in exercise that is both challenging and enjoyable.
