With over eight years of experience with Santa Fe Montessori School as a parent of two students, Carol Higgins was instrumental in forming a new parents association in 2006, and served for the past two years as its first president.  Carol organized the board and helped develop the initial operating guidelines, policies and procedures.  Carol has also served as a room mom for five years, and as coordinator for several school musicals.

In addition to volunteer work with SFMS, Carol has over 18 years of corporate experience as a management information systems manager, finance and accounting manager, and most recently as a systems automation specialist. 

Carol believes strongly in the Montessori educational philosophy, as well as being involved in education. It is for these reasons that she chose to accept the Board of Directors position.  Carol hopes to utilize her experience and background to enhance the Santa Fe Montessori School.
